The IQ-Lab project consists of six work packages (WPs), as illustrated on the chart below. A substantial part of the research in the project is performed through two PhD projects that form the basis of WP3 and WP4, respectively. Both PhD projects are collaboratively involved in WP2 and the initial part of WP5.
The disciplinary context of the project is Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry which is a core subject in discovery, development and quality control of drugs. Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry is an applied discipline and draws on combined knowledge in a wide range of subjects.
The WP3 and WP4 will follow a cohort of students from the Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry course over three semesters in order to unfold and substantiate the development of laboratory-related competences over time.
The shaded areas in WP3 and WP4 on the chart below signify that while these WPs start in month 10 of the project, the participants, in particular the two PhDs, will spend time during spring of 2019 (project months 1-9) visiting the Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry course and getting familiar with the Pharmacy program as a whole, and thereby prepare for WP3 and WP4 during the work on WP2.
The arrows indicate how the work packages inform each other. WP3 and WP4 are not reliant on each other, but will certainly benefit from exchanges.
