Student's work in laboratory is central to science education – in particular in educating pharmaceutical experts, as laboratory learning is essential for the strong focus on quality control and regulatory sciences. However, knowledge on student's competence development from laboratory work is limited.
Project focus
The overall aim of the IQ-lab project is to provide teachers, researchers and curriculum designers with in in-depth knowledge on laboratory learning by answering the following research questions:
The project is divided into four parts: An initial phase describing the laboratory-related competences based on the literature, to parallel PhD projects describing the students' perspective and the program's perspective in terms of progression, respectively and the final synthesis of the findings.
